Working with the Vertex products since 1991, the Dominus Systems staff has vast experience with the design, programming, configuration, implementation and training on these products. We have successfully implemented interfaces between many of the Vertex software products and our customer’s information systems.
We have led the industry in our implementation of Vertex’s Sales & Use Tax (SUT) products, including Vertex’s newest addition, Indirect Tax O Series®. Vertex® Indirect Tax O Series® integrates with your enterprise financial accounting, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), or Customer Resource Management (CRM) host system to calculate tax automatically on individual business transactions. Dominus Systems® services provide the professional assistance required to successfully install, configure and implement Vertex Sales Tax Q and O Series with your ERP system, Point of sale system (POS) or website. Dominus Systems® staff provides expertise in all of the major ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle Financials, JDEdwards and PeopleSoft. Dominus Systems is a preferred Vertex Implementation partner, and we’ve partnered directly with SAP on projects. We provide custom configuration in the ERP and Vertex systems to accomplish the best and easiest-to-maintain solutions. In a typical project we will migrate legacy data,configure the ERP or host financial system, customize the Vertex interface or user exit, the parameters within the Vertex configuration, the Tax Assist module and the Taxability Manager to provide the best tax-compliant solution per your business requirements.

Dominus Systems® has extensive familiarity with Vertex’s sales tax return application. When using the tax data generated by your host financial application. Vertex Sales Tax Returns calculates, formats, and prints the forms you need to file, including sales and use tax returns, schedules, worksheets, payment requests, and consolidated tax returns for both state and local jurisdictions. In addition, Web filing is also available for a select number of states.
We are also well versed in Value-Added Tax (VAT) as well as managing and facilitating international VAT obligations. We help our clients with strategy and deployment of VAT services including ERP support, and all technology-related needs to facilitate VAT calculation, reporting, and outsourcing. We also consult with our clients on managing the VAT component of international process and control reviews as required by Sarbanes-Oxley.
